Overview

Lugh Labs LLC ("Lugh Labs," "we," "us") operates lughlabs.io and builds apps, including Get a Weekend. This policy covers this website and each of our apps. The section for each app says exactly what that app collects. We keep the data we collect to a minimum, and we don't sell it.

This website (lughlabs.io)

This is a simple, static website. We collect information in two limited ways:

  • Information you send us. If you email us at [email protected], we receive whatever you include in that message (name, email address, and message content). We use it only to reply.
  • Site analytics & hosting logs. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and we use Cloudflare's analytics to understand site traffic (such as page views, referrers, and approximate location based on IP address) in aggregate. Cloudflare may also log standard technical data for security and performance purposes. We don't receive this as personally identifiable data tied to you individually.

If you engage Lugh Labs for consulting or development services, any additional information exchanged as part of that engagement is governed by the terms of that specific engagement.

Get a Weekend

Get a Weekend (getaweekend.com) is an app operated by Lugh Labs LLC. It watches flight fares from the airports you choose to the cities you choose, and when a fare fits your rules it sends you one plan for a weekend: flights, a hotel, a show and a table. This section is the privacy policy for that app.

What we collect

  • Your account. Your email address and a first name or nickname we use to greet you. If you sign in with Google we take your first name from Google and the identifier Google gives us for your account; otherwise you can type a name, or leave it blank, and you can change it any time in Profile. We do not keep your Google photo.
  • Your preferences. The airports you fly from, the cities you would go to, the kinds of things you like, your time zone, and your rules (spend, who goes, when you can leave, flights, hotel class, notice).
  • Plans and answers. The plans we make for you and whether you accepted, adjusted or skipped each one, including the reason you give for skipping. We use your answers to make the next plan better.
  • Delivery. The channel you chose (email or Telegram), your Telegram chat identifier if you choose Telegram, and a record that each message was sent.
  • Cookies. A session cookie to keep you signed in, a short-lived cookie that holds your sign-up choices before you have an account, and a short-lived cookie that returns you to the page you were on after you sign in. We do not use advertising cookies.
  • Product analytics. Which pages and actions are used (for example, that a plan was opened), tied to a random identifier, so we can improve the app.

Your Google Calendar (optional)

Connecting a calendar is optional. If you connect one, we ask Google for read-only access to the events on your primary calendar. When we make a plan for you, we read the titles and times of the events that fall on the dates of that trip, and we show them to you as "potential conflicts" on your plan page and in the message we send you, so you can see whether the trip clashes with something. That is the only thing we use your calendar for.

  • We do not store event titles, times, guests or notes. They are read at the moment they are needed and shown to you.
  • We store only an encrypted token that lets us ask Google again, until you disconnect.
  • Event titles that appear in a message are delivered to you through the channel you chose: your email address (sent by our email provider) or your Telegram chat.
  • We do not use calendar data for advertising, do not sell it, do not share it with anyone else, and no person at Lugh Labs reads it except where you ask us for help with a problem or where the law requires it.
  • You can disconnect at any time in Profile, then Integrations, in the app, or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting deletes our token.

Get a Weekend's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google permissions we request

  • openid, email, profile: to sign you in, know which account is yours, and get your first name so we can greet you.
  • calendar.events.readonly (only if you connect a calendar): to read event titles and times for the dates of a plan, as described above. We cannot change or delete anything on your calendar.

Who handles data for us

  • Cloudflare: hosting, security and delivery of the site.
  • Our server host: the servers the app and its database run on.
  • Resend: sends our emails to you.
  • Telegram: delivers messages if you choose Telegram.
  • PostHog: product analytics, described above.
  • Flight, hotel and event data providers: we send them cities, airports and dates to find fares, hotels and shows. We never send them your name, email address, calendar or any other personal information.

These providers may only use data to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data until you ask us to delete it. If you stop using the app, you can ask us to delete everything at any time.

Your choices

  • Change your preferences and rules in Profile in the app.
  • Pause offers, or stop emails with the link in any email.
  • Disconnect your calendar as described above.
  • Ask us to delete your account and everything we hold about you, by emailing [email protected]. We do it within 30 days and confirm by email.

Children

Get a Weekend is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Security

Connections are encrypted, calendar tokens are encrypted at rest, sign-in uses one-time codes or Google, and plans are visible only to the account they were made for. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you if a problem affects your data.
